A bicycle gang rolled up on Logan’s bar in downtown San Antonio as we were having a loud drink while checking out Worm Hole from Las Cruces New Mexico.

They rode bikes right into the bar and parked – I’ve done that myself, but never en masse.

I couldn’t believe he had a beer holder on his bike! Well, yes I could…

1940’s?

Vintage motor bike influence.
The distance and general radius of my rides in San Antonio are growing. Unfortunately the popularity of this site is not… I think people are freaked out by the name when I approach them for a picture. I really have to explain it before people get it. Plus, all the pics so far are of guys. I haven’t exactly been keeping up with the scene, I missed critical mass and the last Friday ride from the Alamo which I swore I would do. Don’t get me wrong – I’ve been out almost every day killing it, just haven’t clicked in with too many other riders yet.

Snapped this the other day – Sorry all my photos are square, I’m working on that… This is part of the river that winds through downtown San Antonio. It’s pretty, and while parts of it are an obvious clo-fo of tourists and party people, there is some very tranquil and surprisingly striking scenery to be found. Until the throngs of anarchist tall bikers and outlaw fixie fanatics start contributing to this site I’ll just keep it coming with photos from the area.
There was something really un-Mexican American about the Girl in a Coma show tonight… The cops shut down the band in a really uncool way, for such hometown heroes. It was obviously in response to the fact that this band had an altercation with a police officer (off duty) in Houston recently – but all charges were dropped, because the girls were acting in self defense! But the SA police tonight, well they can tell you to STFU (Shut the fuck up) whenever they want, and they did it to GIAC tonight.
To be honest, this show set up was way under GIAC’s level of performing. It was disrespectful of the venue to have such intense sonic masterminds perform on such a shitty sound system. The thing with the cops shutting them down was so petty. Sad night for San Antonio when it doesn’t embrace one of it’s greatest ambassadors yet, and not just let them shine for a few minutes more…
GIAC exited the stage with class, if not a bit rattled. I seriously doubt they expected this reception! Obviously the organizers of this event dropped the ball and turned what could have been a super cool home town Girl in a Coma show into an embarrassing and unprofessional scenario for the organizers at Museo Alameda.

Roy!
